BCCI Board of Control for Cricket in India Secretary Jay Shah has announced the prize money for the medal winners in the Tokyo Olympics, Jai Shah tweeted from his Twitter account that gold medalist Neeraj Chopra will get 1 crore, silver medalists Mirabai Chanu and Ravi 50 lakhs will be given to Kumar Dahiya and 25 lakhs to Bronze ie Copper medalists PV Sindhu, Lovlina Borgohain and Bajrang Punia. 1.25 crore will be given to the men's hockey team.
This is a good step which will encourage the players to participate for any upcoming events. The way the players have shown their passion in this Olympics, they have tried to attract the attention of the whole country.
Many state governments have also announced various incentives for the players of their state and many governments have also announced government jobs.
