Anant Kumar Singh, who lost his legislature a few days back, was sentenced to ten years in jail by a special court of MP-MLA Court on Thursday in another Arms Act case. This criminal case of Arms Act is of the year 2015. Anant Singh is currently lodged in Beur Jail under judicial custody.
Anat Singh gave his reaction soon after the sentence was handed down by the MP-MLA court. He said that he has been implicated under a conspiracy and it is a conspiracy of the government. He has also spoken of challenging the decision of the special court in the upper court.
MP MLA Court had earlier convicted Anant Singh in a case and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment. Anant Singh was elected MLA from Mokama seat in the year 2020 on RJD ticket. After the announcement of the sentence, Anant Singh's legislature is gone. The Vidhan Sabha Secretariat had issued an order to end the membership of RJD's Anant Singh.
