Sunil Bansal has been promoted in BJP recently. He has been made the National General Secretary. In the last eight years, Sunil Bansal united such workers in UP, due to which the party continued to win election after election from 2014 to 2022.
Sunil Bansal has been made the National General Secretary in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The workers of UP are definitely happy that now Sunil Bansal's stature has become national, his vision will remain national but there is some sorrow too. The reason is also clear that what the workers got in 8 years was never received in the last 70 years. In these 8 years, the workers worked hard for the victory and Bansal kept on giving them respect and prestige.
When Aaj Tak.in asked Sunil Bansal how do you see these 8 years spent in UP, he said "In these eight years I have lived my whole life".
When Sunil Bansal returned to Lucknow from Delhi after being made the National General Secretary, the rally of the workers who met him was not taking the name of stopping. Every worker is definitely speaking a few words of his feelings by meeting Sunil Bansal and these are not just words of formality of farewell but his feelings.
Even the opponents are convinced of Sunil Bansal
Sunil Bansal's fans are also his opponents. As soon as Sunil Bansal was made the National General Secretary, he was given the charge of Bengal, Telangana and Odisha and it was decided that now Sunil Bansal is bidding farewell from Uttar Pradesh, then also from the Congress party. It was said by tweeting that BJP had come to Uttar Pradesh with Sunil Bansal and with the farewell of Sunil Bansal, BJP will also farewell.
If we look at the work of Sunil Bansal for 8 years, then while being the General Secretary of the organization, he took a lot of work from the workers and distributed them a lot of rewards. From 2014 to 2022, the BJP continued to win election after election because of these workers.
Sunil Bansal also kept rewarding his workers for their hard work. Very few people would know that in these 8 years, about 18000 government, non-government and institutional profit posts were appointed by UP BJP workers across the country, and here Sunil Bansal selectively appointed his workers.
More than 108 workers of UP were appointed as directors in various big government and semi-government organizations across the country.
Barring the big leaders, there are many such district presidents who were made MLCs directly while being the district president. No one could have imagined that a district president would become an MLC directly. Sunil Bansal made the tradition of sending the regional presidents of the organization to the upper house.
BJP was seen to be divided earlier in UP
All the co-organization ministers who happened in UP in the last 8 years, that is, all the co-organization ministers who worked under Bansal's leadership, today all became the organization ministers of one or the other state. The BJP, which was divided into different factions before 2014, became a rock-like party after 2014 whose workers became almost impossible for other parties to penetrate.
Protests, sloganeering against leaders were common in the party office on ticket distribution before 2014. From the organization minister to the state president and the burning of effigies of big leaders, there was a lot to see, but this tradition of protest ended after Bansal took over.
Sunil Bansal reined in factionalism
Sunil Bansal was the first to rein in factionalism. The workers stood up as soldiers loyal to the party and the organisation. Many leaders came and many leaders went but the BJP workers and the office bearers of the organization never left the BJP. When even big leaders like Swami Prasad Maurya and Dara Singh Chauhan left the party, not a single mandal president, district president left the BJP. This is the result of Bansal's hold on the organization which did not let the morale of BJP workers fall.
The changes Sunil Bansal made in the BJP while living in Uttar Pradesh in 8 years, it became an example of the work done for any party in the country. The media has never tried to know and understand the organization minister of a state as much as the media showed interest in understanding the organization skills of Sunil Bansal, who made UP the machine of victory.
In an informal conversation, Sunil Bansal said that change in the Sangh Parivar is a continuous process and changes from time to time in whether it is BJP, ABVP, where they have come from have kept both these organizations alive. Sunil Bansal, who wrote only victories through his organizational skills in 8 years, has given a new dimension to the BJP organization in UP, it has become a benchmark, which is going to prove to be a big challenge for BJP to maintain.
