From today, the electricity rates of Uttar Pradesh electricity consumers have been cut by 50 paise per unit. Which will benefit crores of electricity consumers of the state. Let us tell you that till now the electricity bill of Rs 6 per unit had to be paid in the state. Which has now come down to Rs 5.50 per unit. It is known that the relief will be available to domestic electricity consumers in both urban and rural areas. Due to this scheme, the electricity department of the state will have to bear the loss of hundreds of crores per month. But according to the convenience of the people, the government has taken this decision.

After urban areas, from Friday August 5, domestic electricity consumers will have to pay electricity bill at the rate of Rs 5.50 per unit. Not only this, till now those who used 500 units of electricity had to pay the bill at the rate of Rs 7. Now only 6.50 paise per unit will have to be paid. At the same time, the government has also made many other changes in the electricity bill stacker. For example, the fixed charge of 4 kW electricity consumers has been reduced to 330. Till now this charge was Rs 390. Apart from this, consumers using 1000 watts of electricity were till now charged at the rate of 8.50 paise per unit. Which has been reduced to Rs.8.

State Power Minister Somendra Tomar said that orders have been issued to implement the reduced rates of all electricity with immediate effect. However, this bill cut will put additional burden on the government. But in view of the problems of the consumers, relief has been given to the public. He said that the government is considering taking the power problem seriously. Now power faults are resolved within just 2 hours.
