Amid tension from China, a big blow to Taiwan, the body of a Defense Ministry official found
The news of the death of an official of the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan is coming. O Yang Li-hing, deputy head of Taiwan's Defense Ministry's research and development unit, was found dead in a hotel room on Saturday morning, according to news agency Reuters. It is known that Taiwan's Defense Ministry has claimed that China can attack at any time. According to Taiwan's Defense Ministry, more than one batch of Chinese planes and ships have been seen crossing the midline of the Taiwan Strait. They seem to have been employed to rehearse an attack on the main island of Taiwan.
Earlier this week, China announced sanctions on Friday on US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi for traveling to Taiwan. But the sanctions imposed by China are still not clear. In the matter, the Foreign Ministry of China said that the Speaker of the US Parliament has interfered in our internal affairs. They have violated the one-China policy. Along with this, China has also summoned the ambassadors of European countries. China said it had summoned the G-7 and the European Union (EU) to oppose statements criticizing Chinese military exercises around Taiwan.
On the other hand, upset by China's furious reaction to the visit of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan, the US has postponed a long-proposed intercontinental ballistic missile test. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China has started military exercises around Taiwan in response to Pelosi's visit to Taipei.
