Opposition to the new recruitment scheme 'Agneepath' in the army continues in Bihar. On Friday, the third day, the demonstration intensified even more. After Lakhimpur-Ara, Supaul, protesters have also burnt the train in Secunderabad. One has also died in police firing. Here, a total of 200 train services have been affected due to the youth protests. 35 train services have been canceled across the country, while 13 have been short terminated.
Train blew up in Lakhisarai
Students' protest in Lakhisarai has become fierce. Three bogies of Vikramshila Express have been set on fire. The windows of five bogies have been broken. Media personnel are also being stopped from making videos. They have been misbehaved by snatching the mobiles of the passengers. There has also been a fire on the railway track. It is being reported that the protesting youths have also snatched the luggage of the passengers after evacuating the entire train.
Krishna Setu jam in Munger
Here, the students' anger is also being seen in Munger. The candidates have gathered on the Krishna Setu bridge and the traffic has been stopped. A large number of youth are shouting slogans. Traffic on the road going to Khagaria Begusarai, Bhagalpur and Patna is also completely disrupted. At Bhojpur's Bihiya station, a large number of youths are gathering on the railway track and setting fire to it. There is also a ruckus at Lakhisarai station. New Delhi-Patna-Rajgir Shramjeevi Express is standing at the station as the track is not cleared. Several trains coming towards Patna are also affected.
Bihar Police on high alert
In view of the opposition to the Agneepath scheme, the police has become alert. Along with the youth, many organizations have also announced a protest on Friday. Many opposition parties are also involved in this. In view of this, the Police Headquarters has alerted all the districts. Where there is a possibility of more disturbances, there is a constant vigil. Police-administration is ready to deal with any situation.
