The matter of the poor condition of the hospital in Bihar constantly comes to our notice. The latest case is from Gaya in Bihar. Where a case of negligence of Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital has come to the fore. Due to the negligence of the hospital, the lips and nose of the dead body have been gnawed by rats.

Let us tell you that after the death of a person here, the health manager on duty had kept the body under the emergency stairs instead of keeping it in the mortuary. After which the dead body was buried in the night

The rats gnawed. However, after the matter came to light, the Medical College Superintendent has ordered an inquiry and said that action will be taken against the culprits. But even after the order of investigation, the plight of the hospital remains confined to the pages. This whole matter is being told of Monday night.

Let us inform that Ramji Tiwari, a resident of Nawada district, died during treatment on July 24. After this his body was handed over to the family members. But the relatives told the staff that they would take the body away in the morning. After which the health manager on duty, Asif Ahmed, kept the body under the emergency ladder, not keeping it in the mortuary. After which some parts of this carcass were gnawed by the rats.

Regarding this matter, the superintendent of Magadh Medical Hospital said that in view of the negligence, strict instructions have been given to the personnel of the wards of the Emergency Department and the health workers that any dead body has to be kept in the mortuary. Under no circumstances should the dead body be kept in another place. The culprit will be punished after investigating the whole matter.

Hospital negligence is not a new issue. Sometimes in Samastipur, sometimes in Muzaffarpur, sometimes in Nalanda and sometimes in Nawada, the matter of plight of the hospital comes to the fore. Now when and how the administration takes care of this, only time will tell, but such cases are shameful.
