This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Mamta Banerjee today. Ever since Partha Chatterjee's name came up in the teacher recruitment scam and he was arrested, CM Mamta Banerjee was on the target of the opposition. There was increasing pressure on him to remove Partha Chatterjee from the post of minister. After which it was decided to remove Partha Chatterjee from all posts in the cabinet meeting today.

All the opposition parties including BJP, Congress were continuously putting pressure on Mamta government. Due to the increase in this pressure, today Partha has been removed from all the posts of Chatterjee's party and government. Right now the Trinamool chief will handle all the departments of Chatterjee himself. Let us tell you that Chatterjee was the Minister of Industries, Commerce and Enterprises, Information Technology and Electronics in Mamata Banerjee's government.

It is known that ED has arrested Chatterjee in the case of money laundering in the teacher recruitment scam. Crores of rupees were recovered by the ED from the house of Arpita Mukherjee, close aide of Partha Chatterjee. After which the raid was conducted again on Wednesday. In which Rs 28.90 crore in cash and more than 5 kg of gold and many documents were recovered from Arpita Mukherjee's second apartment. For the first time, Rs 21 crore in cash was recovered from Arpita's house. Here, during ED's interrogation, Arpita has revealed that the recovered money belonged to Partha Chatterjee and was given by the minister to keep the money.
