Sameer Wankhede gets clean chit, is not a Muslim by birth! Controversy was going on for a long time regarding the caste of former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, who came into the limelight in Aryan Khan drug case. An inquiry committee was formed on this dispute going on for 1 year. The investigation revealed that the caste certificate of Wankhede was found to be correct. The Cast Scrutiny Committee has rejected the allegations against Wankhede.
The inquiry committee said this
The inquiry committee has today issued a report on the controversy surrounding the caste of former Mumbai Narcotics Control head Sameer Wankhede. The 91-page information was shared by the committee, under which it was told that Sameer and his father Dnyaneshwar Wankhede never converted to Islam. The committee found in its investigation that Sameer Wankhede is a Hindu by birth and the committee said in its order that Sameer Wankhede and his father Dnyaneshwar Wankhede come from the Mahar caste of Hinduism, which is recognized as a Scheduled Caste.
Last year, questions were raised about the caste of Wankhede. There was a lot of uproar over it. It is known that when the name of Wankhede Salman Khan's son Aryan Khan was related to the cruise drug case, then this case caught fire. Then NCP leader Nawab Malik raised questions against Wankhede, who was investigating the case, regarding his caste. Malik and others along with him alleged that Wankhede's father Dnyaneshwar had converted to Islam to marry a Muslim woman, so Sameer was born a Muslim and married a Muslim woman as per Muslim customs. .
Clean chit from inquiry committee
The inquiry committee headed by Anita Meshram submitted its 91 page report, in which the committee has got a clean chit to Sameer Wankhede. The committee rejected the allegations of the complainants saying that Sameer is a Hindu by birth. The committee has made it clear that NCP leader Nawab Malik and other complainants have been unable to prove their allegations.
